The much-awaited trailer of Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar’s Badhaai Do has been released. Directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni, the comedy drama is about two people who get into a marriage of convenience in their 30s to hide the secret about their sexual orientation. Badhaai Do will hit the cinemas on February 11.

Just yesterday, January 24, Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar told fans that they are ready to reveal their Badhaai Do secret. Now, that secret is out. Their film shows LGBT issues as Rajkummar and Bhumi’s characters are forced to comply with societal norms, all in a hilarious way. Rajkummar plays the role of a cop named Shardul, while Bhumi is a PT teacher – Sumi. Their paths cross and they decide that they should get into a marriage of convenience for their families. Trouble ensues when Sumi’s girlfriend comes into the picture. The comedy of errors seems like an emotional ride too.

Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha not postponed, makers reconfirm film’s Baisakhi release

Laal Singh Chaddha makers have refuted rumours of the film’s release date getting postponed. Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor-starrer will hit the screens on Baisakhi, April 14.

Due to the increasing number of Covid-19 and Omicron cases, theatres have been shut in many regions. Taking this into account, the release dates of many films have been postponed. There were rumours that Laal Singh Chaddha had also been pushed. But, the makers of the Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor-starrer reconfirmed the film’s Baisakhi release in a statement.


NO CHANGE IN LAAL SINGH CHADDHA RELEASE DATE

Laal Singh Chaddha’s release date has been postponed many times. Even though there were reports that the film’s Baisakhi release has been rescheduled, Aamir Khan’s production house released an official statement about quashed the “misleading stories”.

The statement was shared on Twitter. It read, “Aamir Khan Productions’ Laal Singh Chaddha’s release date stands as Baisakhi, 14th April 2022, contrary to some misleading stories. We once again would like to thank everyone who has supported us in the journey of making this film. Produced by Viacom18 Studios and Aamir Khan Productions, Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chandan with music by Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The film has been adapted by Atul Kulkarni.

Directed by Advait Chauhan, Laal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of the iconic Hollywood film, Forrest Gump. Besides Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, Laal Singh Chaddha stars Naga Chaitanya, Mona Singh and Manav VJ. Laal Singh Chaddha was supposed to clash with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa at the box on Christmas 2021, but the makers announced Valentine’s Day 2022 as the new release date. Bachchan Pandey is the remake of the 2014 Tamil film Veeram. The shooting of the film began in Jaisalmer on January 6, 2021. The film stars Akshay Kumar in the role of a gangster, while Kriti Sanon plays a journalist. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and also features Pankaj Tripathi, Arshad Warsi and Jacqueline Fernandez in important roles. It was slated for release on Christmas last year. However, it got delayed due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. At the beginning, the film was supposed to release on January 26, 2022. Later, the date was postponed to March 4. It’s official, another film has been postponed. Amid the rising cases of COVID-19, Radhe Shyam, starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde, has joined an array of films that have been removed from their release schedule. The film was supposed to release this week on the big screen.

On Wednesday, UV Creations released a statement that read, “We have been trying our best for the past few days but considering the growing cases of omicron variant it looks like we will have to wait for our labour of love to get to the big screens. Radhe Shyam is a story about love vs destiny and we are sure that your love will help us rise over these tough times together. Will see you in the cinemas soon!!!
