ARJUN KAPOOR CALLS CHANDIGARH KARE AASHIQUI SUBTLE, SINCERE AND SUBLIME
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, which shows a gender-bending romance, is being lauded by the audience on Twitter. Now, Arjun Kapoor has reviewed Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor’s film and called it a fantastic little gem.
The actor wrote, “What a fantastic little gem of a film this team has made…subtle sincere & sublime all together… the film nudges us out of our comfort zone instead of asking for attention and this is just down to the directors execution of the material. Vaani & Ayushman are terrific together playing off each other & making you root for them to be together. All the best guys I’m sure it’s gonna be loved.
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is a love story between a cross-functional athlete, Ayushmann, and a trans woman who teaches Zumba, Vaani Kapoor. Now, that’s a daring concept, right?
I LIKE TO DO FILMS THAT MAKE PEOPLE UNCOMFORTABLE: AYUSHMANN
Talking about his unconventional films choice at Agenda Aajtak 2021, Ayushmann Khurrana said, “I don’t like to do normal stuff because they are too vanilla. If you can do some value education through your cinema, then I think it’s great. You give back something to society. I like to do such films that make people uncomfortable. Also, my films mostly have middle class families because this topic won’t work in higher societies. It won’t gain acceptance there. However, in conservative middle class families, there will be a conflict.
