Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom release date pushed from July 27 to August 19

Akshay Kumar has announced the new release date of his upcoming film Bell Bottom. The spy thriller will now release on August 19 instead of July 27.

Here’s a reason to rejoice for Akshay Kumar’s fans. His much-awaited spy thriller, Bell Bottom, is all set to release on August 19 in theatres. However, the release date of the film has been pushed from July 27 to August 19. Akshay made the announcement on social media along with a new motion poster.

Bell Bottom, whose shooting started and finished during the coronavirus pandemic, will now release on August 19 in theatres. It was earlier slated to be launched on July 27. Akshay Kumar took to his official Instagram handle to make the announcement. “Mission: To Entertain you on the BIG SCREEN Date: August 19, 2021 Announcing the arrival of #BellBottom! #BellBottomInCinemasAug19 (sic),” he wrote.

Akshay Kumar also posted a new motion poster of the film. It featured the actor, Huma Qureshi and other cast members of the films with a piece of upbeat music playing in the background.


Last month, along with a short teaser, Akshay Kumar announced that the film will release in theatres and that the wait is finally over. Sharing the news, Akshay wrote, “I know you have patiently waited for the release of #Bellbottom. Couldn’t be happier to finally announce the release of our film. Arriving on the big screens worldwide #BellBottomOn27July (sic).”


Apart from Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi, Bell Bottom also stars Vaani Kapoor and Lara Dutta. Bell Bottom is a spy thriller set in the 80s and is based on the plane hijacks that took India by storm back then. While Akshay plays a RAW agent, Lara Dutta essays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi who was in power at that time. Vaani Kapoor plays Khiladi Kumar’s wife in the film.
