Mrunal Thakur acts as his supportive girlfriend. Farhan had undergone a lot of training for Toofaan, and it is evident from the trailer that his efforts have paid off. Toofaan is an inspirational sports drama that portrays the journey of Aziz Ali – from a goon to a successful boxer.

Just a few hours before the release of the trailer, the makers of Toofaan had dropped a new poster of the film. Amazon Prime Video shared the trailer today and wrote, “To the ones who never back down. It’s time to bring Boxing glove #ToofaanOnPrime, July 16 (sic).” The trailer starts with Mrunal’s character encouraging Farhan’s character to resume his passion for boxing. Then we see Farhan in the boxing ring playing matches. Paresh Rawal is also seen as a tough coach. There are few romantic moments shared between Mrunal and Farhan. Toofaan is a tale of hope, faith and inner strength, fueled by passion and perseverance.
FARHAN AKHTAR ON HIS ROLE IN TOOFAAN
Farhan Akhtar revealed how challenging it was to get under the skin of his character. Talking about his role and preparation behind it, the actor said, “Toofaan is a true labour of love. No matter how physically strong one is, stepping into the shoes of a boxer is a whole new ball game. It took 8 to 9 months of rigorous training for me to get into the skin character and it made me realize how physically, mentally and emotionally demanding the sport actually is. I am thoroughly excited to see all our hard work on the screen and I am glad we are going to be able to take the movie to audiences across 240 countries and territories with Amazon Prime Video.
